Keeping Mt. Pleasant A Special Place To Live
Paul Gawrych has a record of community service to the Town of Mt. Pleasant. He is a successful small business owner and former council member. Paul is a problem solver and recognizes the importance of running the fourth largest city in the state while enhancing our quality of life.
Paul grew up here and graduated from Wando High School and The Citadel. He’s raised his family here, and like thousands of others, he calls Mt. Pleasant home. As part of his service to our community, Paul has coached kids for more than 15 years for the Town of Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department.
Paul and his wife, Zoe, have been married for 25 years and have two children, Sophie and Scott – both attending the University of South Carolina. Zoe has taught children for more than 20 years and currently teaches at Pinckney Elementary. The Gawryches are active members of Christ Episcopal Church of Mt. Pleasant.

On behalf of my incredible wife Zoe of 25 years, please know that we are both humbled and honored that the wonderful folks of Mt. Pleasant are returning me back to Council. So many folks took part with calling, waving, hosting, emailing and hitting FB - we ran a well oiled positive campaign until 7pm last night and it put us as the top vote getter! Now the work begins as we are sworn in next Tuesday night - I look forward to working with our new Mayor Linda and everyone on Council. There is no better place to live and there is no better place to serve - I have come back home!
Thanks again and bless you all. P & Z
